因为在猫咪临近生产时会选择一个地方做“窝”在哪猫咪将分娩，分娩前一段时间猫咪会很粘人.陪着她做好节生准备

如果它到了与家相隔数公里的地方,它与原来的地方相符的生物钟和太阳的位置就会发生偏差.而移动后,它们体内的生物钟会暂时维持原住地的状态.如果猫能朝着修正这一偏差的方向前进,就能回到原来所处的地方.而且在一个地方生活了较长时间的猫会更快返回.

实验证明,如果相距的半径在12公里以内的话,一般的猫都能够找到回家的方向.这种与返回性有关的生物钟是它们在自然界生存必不可少的能力.
